Hi Toni,
ReplyDeleteI have to say that the quote from Dr. Brazelton almost drew tears because earlier today I had to say almost these exact words to my daughter.
All of your quotes are amazing!
Dr. Brazelton's quote struck me too. As parents we care so deeply and unfortunately do make mistakes at times. Hopefully though, we do more right than wrong! It's what we've done right that we all need to focus on.
ReplyDeleteToni,
ReplyDeleteAs much as I enjoyed all of the quotes you've shared, I really liked the first one. How true, we do have this amazing opportunity to be part of the child's life and to help shape it for the better.
Nicely done!
I love that quote "when we know better, we do better." That is so true of all of us, no matter what age we are.
ReplyDeleteKnowng that parents make mistakes because they care so much, illuminates my understanding and brings me to a place of compassion, rather than to a place of judgment.
Maya Angelou's quote is silver lining. Knowing better means we will do things better and that make the difference in every little thing.
ReplyDeleteHi Toni,
ReplyDeleteI love all of your quotes. I especially love Maya Angelou's. Her words has a way of bring strength to me.
Toni you had so many wonderful Quotes but two really jumped out at me. Paulo Freire,"I can not be a teacher without exposing who I am." and Maya Angelou's quote. I do believe that teachers expose who they are through sharing their idea's and creativity while teaching."When we know better, we do better is such a great quote because it is true! When you don't know, you just don't know. When you come into the knowledge you begin to try to do your best!! Awesome!!
